A Candy Kane Christmas is a family, Christian comedy. The story was originally written for the stage for Theatre On Main in Acworth Georgia in 2008. It was first published as a play with Pioneer Drama Services in 2009 and is available through Pioneer Drama for production for theatre and church Christmas celebrations and fundraisers. Candy Kane is a not-so-happy teen who is convinced that all of her troubles would be over if she could just change her unusual name. Her parents, however, believe that Candy is perfect just as she is and that her name is uniquely wonderful. Candy enlists the help of her two best friends, Sarah and Lori to help her attempt a radical name and image makeover. The makeover backfires in a series of comical mishaps that lead Candy to discover that reinventing herself is much harder than she ever imagined. Candy's supportive family and friends help her along as she discovers that she is more than her name. A few new friends help her recognize the blessings in her life as the true meaning of Christmas finds its way into her heart.
