The story includes an ensemble cast of many interesting vegetable characters interacting with each other to create songs and dances for an upcoming show they??ll put on to help a friend in need. It contains over 250 illustrations to tell its story, as well as a variety of child-friendly rhymes and songs.
The age group envisioned for The Adventures of Archie Artichoke series is between 4 and 9 years old and the narrative text is designed to be read by a parent to a child. However, older children are able to read the text by themselves.
The book is relatively long for a children??s story and therefore, it??s divided into 14 sections including: an introduction, 12 days of practice leading up to The Big Show and The Big Show, itself. Parents may want to read one or two of the 12 days of practice at a time so the story is read over a 1-2 week period. A narrated audiobook of The Big Show is now also available.
