Alejandra Roncallo

Alejandra Roncallo teaches International Relations at Bucknell University. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from York University in Canada, an M.A. in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh in the United States and a B.A. in History from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before moving to the United States she taught in Canada at The University of Western Ontario, Ryerson, York -Keele campus and Glendon College- and at the University of Toronto-Mississauga in a wide array of disciplines, political science, public administration, international development, social sciences, geography and international studies, which strengthened her neo-Gramscian, holistic and interdisciplinary approach to international relations.

Her teaching and research interests include an interdisciplinary approach to the IPE of the Americas, particularly the transition from the Old to the New Pax Americanas, globalization, multi-scalar governance arrangements, policy analysis, natural resources/ energy conflicts, climate change, gender, indigenous peoples, transnational law, social reproduction, human rights and qualitative methods.

Her publications include The Political Economy of Space in the Americas: The New Pax Americana, Routledge and a series of chapters and articles in Between the Lines, Wilfrid Laurier University Press, Palgrave MacMillan, Hechos del Callejón -Journal of the United Nations Development Program in Colombia-, the Canadian Journal of Development Studies / Revue Canadienne d’études du développement and Third World Quarterly.
