Ashu M. G. Solo

Ashu M. G. Solo is an independent interdisciplinary researcher and developer, electrical engineer, computer engineer, intelligent systems engineer, political and public policy engineer, mathematician, political writer, public policy analyst, political operative, entrepreneur, former infantry platoon commander understudy, and progressive activist. Solo has over 500 research and political commentary publications. This includes published research book chapters, research journal papers, research conference papers, patents, conference proceedings books, journal special issues, forewords, political op-ed articles, and political poems. Solo is the originator of public policy engineering, computational public policy, political engineering, computational politics, and network politics, all of which are published. These fields involve the application of engineering, math, computer science, and natural science to politics and public policy. Solo is the creator of multidimensional matrix mathematics and its subsets, multidimensional matrix algebra and multidimensional matrix calculus, all of which are published. Solo co-developed some of the best published methods for maintaining power flow in and multiobjective optimization of radial power distribution system operations using intelligent systems. Solo has served on over 200 conference program committees and editorial boards. Solo has been covered hundreds of times by the media for a civil rights case against the City of Saskatoon and a city councillor for prayer recitations at government events, a civil rights case against the City of Saskatoon (Saskatoon Transit Services) for promoting only one religion, three human rights complaints against the City of Saskatoon for retaliation against him for his civil rights cases, an online campaign advertising complaint against the Saskatoon mayor, a complaint about City of Saskatoon spending on a city Web site, and his research and development. Solo was elected as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Saskatoon-Humboldt Federal Green Party Association and the highest ranking electoral district association agent in northern Saskatchewan. The Green Party of Canada is one of five political parties represented in the Canadian federal parliament. Solo brought this electoral district association for the federal Green Party into the information age and had it start organizing educational events for the public on important public policy issues. Now Solo is the CEO and founder of the Saskatoon Provincial Green Party Association in Canada and a member of the Green Party of Saskatchewan Policy Committee. Solo was a representative on the City of Saskatoon Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee and its Living in Harmony Ad Hoc Subcommittee. The Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee is an advisory committee to Saskatoon City Council. Solo served honorably as an infantry officer (occupation) and platoon commander understudy (appointment) in the Cdn. Army Reserve at the age of 23. In recognition of the extreme quality and quantity of his research contributions and publications as well as his extremely extensive service to the engineering profession, Solo was awarded a fellowship (FBCS) with the British Computer Society (BCS). Solo has won two Outstanding Achievement Awards, two Distinguished Service Awards, and three Achievement Awards from research conferences. Solo has been listed in Who’s Who in the World 2013, Who’s Who in America 2013, 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 2013, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering 2011-2012, 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 2012, Who’s Who in the World 2012, Canadian Who’s Who 2012, Who’s Who in the World 2011, Who’s Who in America 2011, Who’s Who in the World 2010, and Who’s Who in America 2010.
