Bernita A. Glenn
Bernita A. Glenn is a Caregiver whose experience is based on years of caring for both her mother and father. Knowing the difficulties associated with caring for a loved one, she was stimulated to share her story in hopes of making the journey an easier one for others. It is her desire to motivate other Caregivers to live a life of reason and importance. She continues to search for ways which will encourage and uplift those who have been burdened by the challenges of rendering care.
She has two adult children who excite her in fulfilling her dream as a writer. She is the coordinator and organizer of the Caregivers Ministry at her church and has been an inspiration to many. This ministry, which began in 2000, provides new and used medical supplies and equipment to the elderly and those with minimal incomes. It also publishes the Caregiver News, a monthly newsletter, to educate and encourage Caregivers on their journey. Bernita loves researching and writing articles for the Caregiver News as well as writing poetry and prose. She delights in speaking engagements and is happy to assist others in building a Caregiver ministry. She believes that sharing experiences will make the journey more manageable for other brother and sister Caregivers.
