Brett Webb-Mitchell is a speaker, writer, teacher, pastor, pilgrim, partner, parent, and dog owner. As a speaker, pastor, and writer, Brett gives talks around the country and writes about issues concerning the ancient practice of pilgrimage in this modern world, new theories in religious education, issues facing LGBTQ parents in faith communities, and the lives of people living with disabilities and faith communities. As a pastor, Brett has pastored eight congregations around the country. As a teacher, Brett has taught at Whitworth University, Duke University, and is currently teaching Ethics, Religions and the World, and English composition at NC Central University, an historically black college/university (HBCU). As a pilgrim, and founder/director of School of the Pilgrim (www.schoolofthepilgrim.com), Brett has been on and led pilgrimages around the world. Previously married, Brett is a proud dad of two amazing young adults who he has raised with his partner of 19 years, along with their dogs.
