Reviewed by carmen amaya Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Date Added: Monday 15 April, 2013Beautiful love story! Characters are well written and this story is definitely a page turner. Growing up in New York City I really identified with the characters and the atmosphere of the city. The writer makes everyone come to life in a very modern and realistic way. This is not just a romance type of book, its also a crime story. Its super realistic, but extremely romantic. I fell in love with the two leading people in the story right away and by the 3rd chapter I couldn't put the book down. Its a haunting tale of two people who love each other beyond death. Reviewed by bob quinn Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Date Added: Tuesday 12 February, 2013This is a very in depth murder mystery, romance novel. Great character development and epic storytelling. The author is very complete in her description of New York City and commands the reader's attention with the strength of the characters. I was intrigued from the beginning, although I rarely read romance novels, but this one is different because it involves law enforcement and corruption within the NYC police department. The writing is straightforward and the story is reality based. The love story angle is a highly intimate account of two people who can't live without each other and because of that, sacrifice everything to be together. It's an entertaining read for sure. Reviewed by cynthia crawford Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Date Added: Wednesday 06 February, 2013I thoroughly enjoyed this saga of Alex and Trillbey and all the drama they go through to be together. I found the novel to be very compelling and insightful, an of eye of the needle glimpse into what it is to live and love in New York City. This is not sex and the city( which is great but not always based in reality). Come on, not everyone has the income of the four New York girls noted for their sexual escapades and five hundred dollar shoes! This novel is ALL reality and that's what I loved about it. It's about real people, the everyday working kind of people, with everyday issues. The story is about a guy, who's a cop and he's married and falls in love with a girl, that he saves from being kidnapped. He has an affair with her, and gets framed by his best friend who is also a cop. The novel is a page turner and very compelling in both the story and its characters. The author creates a New York City ambiance that jumps off the pages and you feel like you are in the story, which is very intimate and at times heartbreaking. I loved the story, the characters and I'll probably read it again. Reviewed by Felicity Cline Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Date Added: Monday 31 December, 2012OMG! Read this book over Christmas, it is so good and so romantic that I cried. I love Alex the main character. He saves Trilbeys life and gets shot and she nurses him back to health. They don't know that Alex's best friend is a dirty cop and he and the rest of the dirty cops are blackmailing Alex. There is so much drama and romance in this story! I loved the characters right from the beginning. It's a crime drama but what is the biggest part, is how much they love each other. It's modern with modern problems. But I thought of Alex and Trilbey a little bit like Romeo and Juliet.
