Declan McHugh
Declan McHugh is the author of Bloody London published by Crimson Publishing in April 2012. Declan is Irish but, unsurprisingly given the book title, he has lived in London for 30 years. The book was the outcome of 13 years of research into the extremes of London's dark side in history and features multiple London serial killers (16 of them!!), the occult, disasters, unsolved murders, execution sites, and a huge amount more. This book is information-rich, possibly because Declan trained and worked as a librarian for some years. However Declan was also a professional actor and knows that information is not enough; you have to also entertain and tell stories which thrills and chill. Declan has a cinematic style of story-telling.
Declan has plans to return to the serial killer phenomenon in future books which will examine the behaviour and history of worldwide serial killers.
Declan is also a tour guide for a very popular London walk called 'The Blood and Tears Walk' which covers Jack the Ripper and other London serial killers, execution sites, witchcraft, conspiracy theories, and much, much more. This walk is very highly rated on TripAdvisor and was awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in 2013.
