Dennis Cruywagen
Dennis Cruywagen is a former Deputy Editor of the South African newspaper Pretoria News. He is a recipient of two Harvard Fellowships, namely a Nieman and Mason Fellowship, and spent two academic years in Boston. He holds a masters degree from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. In the old South Africa, he was saluted by the South African Society of Journalist (now defunct) for exposing that seven men killed by the South African police because they were "terrorists" had actually been set up and executed in an ambush by police. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he belongs to South Africa's first people, the Khoisan.
