Elvin C. Bell

Elvin C. Bell is a frequent motivational speaker before business, social and non-profit groups. He is the award winning author of 11 books, 33 magazine articles and hundreds of newspaper news and feature items. His current book, Friends, Patriots and Scoundrels is approaching best seller status. Bell has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's in public administration from California State University, Fresno. He also has a law degree from LaSalle in Chicago, and a Ph.D in business administration from California Coast University, Santa Ana. He is a former reporter for The Los Angeles Times and Time Magazine.

He started his military service as a Private in an infantry unit and climbed through the enlisted ranks to Sergeant First Class before entering Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He later transferred to the USAF where he commanded a squadron. Subsequent assignments consisted of three tours in the White House, a tour in the Pentagon and three highly sensitive intelligent missions during the 1970s cold war into the Soviet Union. He retired from the Air Force as a Colonel. He served 16 years in elected public office in California including the position of Mayor of the Fresno.

Bell is now at work on his 12th book. He resides in Destin, Florida with Abby, his ragdoll cat that presides over the estate. He can be reached at [email protected].
