Fedora Outlaw by Gary Whitmore

Clark believed that life of the golden age of gangsters was adventurous and romantic. After Clark learned of his Uncle Wallace's time machine he time travels back to 1935 with Wallace. He slips away from his uncle and soon hooks up with the Dirk Beaumont gang. But life on the lamb with this famous outlaw is not adventurous and romantic as portrayed in the movies and books. Clark soon finds himself behind bars and history has him electrocuted in the electric chair. But it's up to Wallace to change that altered piece of history and save Clark's young life.
