Flying High details the events that took place before and after a plane crash that changed the life of Jim and everyone with him in that plane. Jim and his pals were on their way home after being in Mexico-illegally-to export marijuana, and worse, while flying an aircraft where they're not licensed to do so. Jim and his team had to spend some time, thirsty and hungry, on an uninhabited island. Thinking that it is possible for them to cross the seas to reach the other civilized island, they decided to swim out into the ocean. If not for the fishermen who found them helplessly floating in the sea, they never would've survived. When the fishermen brought them to shore, they were welcomed by military men who brought them to a Mexican jail, where, instead of being on trial, they were tortured and beaten for doing a federal offense. When Jim got out of prison, he continued running drugs, so as the others who went to prison with him. These companions, however, died after another plane crash while transporting marijuana. And from there, another set of struggles awaits Jim.
