Fred Dawkins
Fred Dawkins is a new partner of the Creative Destruction Lab and a serial entrepreneur with start-up experience in diverse sectors including manufacturing, retail, land development, small business consulting and import/export. He is best known as co-founder of the old Hide House in Acton Ontario for which “it’s worth the drive” but his first love was building a world class manufacturing company in the leather industry which he and his partner sold in 1990. Currently he is writing a series on entrepreneurship entitled The Entrepreneurial Edge, the first book of which Everyday Entrepreneur came out in the fall of 2013. He holds an MA degree in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree (W.E. Rundle Gold Medal), both from the University of Toronto. Fred lives in Guelph with his wife Karin. They have three adult children and six grandchildren.
