Geoff Platt
I am a retired Scotland Yard police officer, who worked with the world famous Flying Squad and Anti Terrorist Branch. I am currently writing a book a week on cases that I worked on and some historical cases. I hold a PhD from the University of Edinburgh on Sports Science and have recently submitted a second PhD on Creative and Critical Writing from the University of East Anglia.
I am an ex-international shot putter, discus thrower, weightlifter and powerlifter and have competed at numerous Highland Gatherings and Strongman events. I have officiated at two Olympic Games and six Commonwealth Games and a hundred other events. My size and strength have been useful in many of my cases.
I have arrested a Member of the Royal Family, a Cabinet Member and a British Army General, but I still cannot find a literary agent!
