Harvest for the World by Sly Orcas

Global warming has created extreme weather systems. Crop growth is ravaged by drought or flooding and mass starvation is in evidence world-wide. Governments have no solutions & society is spiraling downwards out of control. Businessman Denvers has a dark plan is to thin humanity down to a practical size; saving only the extremely wealthy. To do this Denvers requires the military resources of the G20 countries, who are to vote their acceptance in a few days' time. Meantime science student Harley Wicks discovers a 'drought & flood resistant growth compound' that's properties would solve world hunger. Denvers thwarts Wicks' attempt to reveal the find to the National Agriculture Department; and organizes efforts to eradicate anyone connected to the find. The chase is on; with Wicks together with a young female companion attempting to cross half of the American continent in their quest to reveal his discovery to the US President; whilst Denvers' men rapidly close in.
