Steven E. Dyche
The author taught 46 years at all levels of education - elementary, secondary, and college (both graduate and undergraduate). He also served as a university administrator for 19 years. He is a Montana native and began his career teaching in the Big Sky state; he later taught in South Dakota, Wyoming, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. He served at a variety of teaching venues - including a Native American boarding school in southeastern Montana and Brown University - with many stops in between. He recently retired from his Director of Mathematics and Science Education Center position at Appalachian State University. He has authored over two-dozen articles in science education journals and co-edited two botany books for teachers and kids. He holds BS, M Ed., MST and Ed.D degrees from colleges and universities in Montana. He lives in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with his wife, Dona.
