I am 84 years of age and caregiver to a disabled son. I have been published in prior years using different pseudonyms by the small presses. I write humor in the most stressful times to seek relief from everyday life. I have BS and MA degrees from MSU, KY, attended Chicago Teachers' College, IL, LSU, LA, AU, GA, and Milligan College, TN. Have been teacher-counselor and college professor. I gave up a career to care for son. I grew up during the Great Depression years and witnessed the changes in people's lives and in my own during the economic crisis. World War I and II took family members to serve our country.
This was the fictionalized account revealed in Blessed By Second Chances as told by JJ Dawes. My humorous titles: 2 Seniors + A Dog, Seniors Plus Boyd Visit Hollywood and Transitions were again fictionaized accounts of life in the academic world in early years told by Kae Shaw.
I moved from Johnson City, TN to Canton, OH after the loss of my husband to be near relatives who have helped me in transporting my son to Cleveland Clinic. I feel it necessary to make this my home as these are my closest relatives and to obtain the best care for my son.
