Joseph Hawumba-Fuuna
Dr. Joseph F. Hawumba obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Biochemistry and Zoology majors) in 1994 and a Master of Science in Biochemistry in 1999, of Makerere University. He then proceeded for a Doctoral degree in Microbiology, at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry, Makerere University Kampala Uganda and co-founder member and CEO of a Biotech company: Applied Mikrobial Tekinologies (AMiTek) limited, the fist of its kind in Uganda. Besides, Dr. Hawumba is a prolific writer, having contributed several chapters to various Scientific Books. He is also the author of the famous children’s story book entitled: Stories for Generations Book I, Published by AuthorsHouse.
