As the Babylonian army destroys Jerusalem and completes its conquest of the kingdom of Judah, Princess Teia and her sister are the only members of the king's family who escape. The prophet Jeremiah takes the two orphaned princesses into his care, and they flee from Judah with a group of refugees, but not before Jeremiah retrieves a sacred coronation stone that he brings on their journey to Egypt. While there, amid Teia's efforts to cope with the devastating loss of family and friends, comes an unexpected awakening of her heart when she meets Eochaid, a foreign ship captain who's also a prince of the faraway nation of Erin (ancient Ireland). The two young nobles fall in love, but just as their romance begins, they must part to follow their preordained destines. As heir to the throne, Eochaid must leave Egypt after receiving a message that his father is gravely ill. Before the prince sets sail for his island nation, Jeremiah meets with Eochaid and tells him about Yahweh, the God of all creation. Then the prophet blesses Eochaid, not only as a prince of Erin, but also as a prince of Judah, for Jeremiah is convinced that Eochaid's lineage traces back through King David to Judah himself. Jeremiah prophecies that Eochaid will one day play a part in Judah's new kingdom.
