Judy Edward

Forty-five years ago in Ontario Judy began her career as a primary school teacher. Twenty years later she concluded the teaching phase of her life as Manager, Special Projects for Lakeland University College in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

She and her husband then traveled the world as a result of his career in the Oil and Gas Industry. "It was during those years of travel and exposure to different cultures that I began to realize that much of what I excepted as absolute truth was, in fact, beliefs systems" says Judy. "There are some inevitable, albeit uncomfortable, paradigm shifts when you watch an African witch doctor stop a child's convulsions with the touch of his hand, or follow an Australian bushman across the outback while he 'dances the water' in order to locate a new well for a rancher."

When the family retired to the Okanagan Valley in 1995, Judy began to seek out answers to some of the questions arising from her new awareness. This led to studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as other alternative healing modalities, and a great deal of research into ancient philosophies and modern quantum physics. Now she works to help her clients achieve balance in their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual lives.

With the arrival of her grandson five years ago, and her desire to equip him with some of the life lessons it is taken her a lifetime to learn, the idea of the "Calvin Can" Series was born.
