I wanted to write a complete guide to classic consoles for collectors and people thinking of starting to collect retro consoles. In the ebook I was careful not to fill it with copycat Pong consoles and only included consoles worthy of collecting. The ebook has articles, specs and pictures of all consoles from 1st generation consoles to 5th generation consoles. 1972 - 2000, from the innovative Magnavox Odyssey to the ground breaking Sony PlayStation. Plus advice on collecting consoles and also the history of electronic gaming leading up to the first home video game consoles.
I've approached enthusiasts and collectors for their input and contributions to the ebook. The ebook took around 8 months to produce and I wanted to put it up for sale at a very reasonable price for the content included. I also wanted to have the ebook serve as a reference to be used for collectors and enthusiasts, written by collectors and enthusiasts. There are subjective and objective views in the ebook, but ultimately it is left to the reader to decide which consoles are worth collecting based on the reader's preferences.
In a nutshell, I wanted the ebook to serve as a straight up, trusted guide to classic consoles.
I am an iOS & Android developer and I am currently producing an indie movie in the Far East. My hobbies are playing pool and retro gaming.
