Kristan Cannon
Kristan discovered her love of writing very young when she wrote her first full length novel when she was only thirteen. At fourteen she wrote short stories for profit using her first pen name Selena Grey and then, after she turned eighteen, she changed her pen name again to write for a different genre.
A self professed ‘citizen of the North’, Kristan moved around quite a bit before finally settling in Sudbury. While the constant moving was difficult at first, she admits, “Traveling meant expanding my boundaries and meeting new people... Getting to know their stories. This greatly improved my writing in the end.”
Finally after years of practice, still often writing under a pen name, she finally decided to debut her first novel, After Oil, using her real name. She is currently finishing a second novel, Letters of Marque, with plans to rework that first novel written when she was thirteen.
