Many years ago the first mentalism trick I purchased was "Psycho II" an incredibly clever method, so clean, so fair but what a deception. Larry in his own words in 1984:

At the Psychic Entertainers Association convention in St. Louis, I was requested to demonstrate my abilities for the TV media. The effect that I chose to perform was "Psycho II". Approximately 25 years ago, I released the grand-daddy of this remarkable ESP design miracle as just plain "Psycho". It proved to be an award winning commercial success. Many years later I vastly improved the effect and it is that improvement that you are about to delve into. Anyone who witnessed my demonstration for the press in St. Louis will most certainly attest to the fact that "Psycho II" is about as clean an effect as you could possibly want. It was performed with a mini-cam TV camera focused close-up on the action with a reporter across the table from me...and a crowd of about 50 people just a few feet away. It fooled them all...and under "test conditions". So here it is - a baffling, unexplainable mystery of the mind. And best of all ...there are NO GIMMICKS and NO SLEIGHT OF HAND. Nothing is tricked in ANY way. The only props are three UNPREPARED manila envelopes and five UNPREPARED ESP design cards. NO SWITCHES. NO ELECTRONICS.
