Lex Orandi by Daniel Graham

Lex orandi, lex credendi-the law of praying is the law of believing. -Saint Prosper of Aquitaine Lex Orandi compares the texts of the Traditional rites and the Novus Ordo rites for the seven sacraments. For each sacrament, we see the texts side-by-side with commentary. Lex Orandi gives discerning Catholics objective reasons for choosing which rites to attend. The method of analysis is objective. Changes in the texts-additions, deletions, word choice, and key word repetition-change the meaning. Often we see clear Traditional texts changed into ambiguous Novus Ordo texts. Ambiguity increases the risk of misunderstanding and doubt. The evidence shows that the Traditional and Novus Ordo rites are profoundly different. The Novus Ordo rites change the law of praying and consequently change believing on the most fundamental matters of faith, morals, society, and family.
