Looking for Lionel and Other Stories by Paul V. Walters

Looking For Lionel is a deviation for Walters, whose Savage Trilogy captivated readers across the globe.

This quirky and intriguing collection of short stories and previously published essays are a delight to read. From the heart-wrenching Looking For Lionel, Refugee and First Love to the hilarious Le Grand Café, Heavenly Summit and Burying Izzy Lazzard, these stories are sure to entertain the reader looking for "something different."

Walters has the ability to capture the true essence of the short story, and this anthology will take you on a journey to faraway places where the plot lines drag the reader into a world of flawed characters and bizarre situations.

Looking For Lionel is a must for anyone who has a love of the short story narrative.

"Every one of these stories is a superbly nuanced snapshot... Walters proves he is an adept raconteur on every level." - Alana Woods, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian

About the Author:

Paul V. Walters has essentially been a writer for all of his working life, although his words for many years were restricted to the confines of the advertising genre. He began his career as a copywriter with Grey International and worked for some of the world's leading agencies around the world. It was while in New Zealand on assignment with Ogilvy & Mather that he met David Meo and they formed the highly successful Logan Meo & Walters. As the agency grew so did their ambitions, and they moved the business to Australia, where, as creative director, he worked on some of the world's leading brands. In late 2010 McCann Ericsson acquired the agency and he thought it prudent to exit the business stage left. Writing, being his only skill he decided to embark on the business of novel writing. His first effort, Final Diagnosis, received universal acclaim and he went on to write two more in the series, Blowback and Counterpoint, which have become international best-sellers. Looking For Lionel & Other Stories is a departure from his usual genre and is a collection of short stories and essays and articles that have appeared in magazines around the world.

Between novels, Walters is a recognized travel writer with his columns and travel articles appearing in numerous international journals. He now lives permanently on the island of Bali in Indonesia with his wife Elisabeth in between taking numerous journeys to all corners of the globe.
