Ropes, Ribbons & ThreadsToday rubber bands are very popular and allow strong and effective illusions. David Copperfield popularized the "Crazy Man Handcuffs". I have consistently and repeatedly fooled friends with this little gem. The classic cut and restored string continues to be popular. A rope is a very common object. If you can do something magical with it, you have won your audience over.
