Malka Yagudayev

Malka Yagudayev is the great great granddaughter of Shimon Hakham, who single handedly changed literature for Bukharians in Israel. He was a poet, author, and translator who spoke four fluent languages and made it his mission to teach those around him. His movement in literature helped organize the Bukharian Quarter in Jerusalem (Heb: Sh'hunat HaBucharim). He passed away in 1910 and left behind a legacy which his great grandchildren carry on.

Malka's mother is a famous folklore dancer named Firuza Yagudayeva. She has been in America for over 35 years and has traveled the world with her musical ensemble, Shashmaqam. They have been in festivals and shows around the world and prove that music has no language barrier. Malka grew up around her culture and musical background and says her mother is her hero.

Malka Yagudayev was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She loves music, art, basketball (The New York Knicks), writing, and reading. She started her own writing company called, MYiNK Services, to help small businesses and individuals with their writing needs. Her clientele ranges from artists and celebrities to directors and Jewelers. Her vision is to help small businesses and individuals promote themselves and become more successful. In addition, she has written two poetry books.
