Marc E. Vargo

Marc Vargo is a nonfiction author whose books explore subjects of historical and political interest.

On September 11, 2012, McFarland and Company released his fifth book, Women of the Resistance: Eight Who Defied the Third Reich, a study of eight prominent women who played crucial roles in the underground movements of Palestine, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and other nations during World War II.

Currently, he is writing The Mossad: Landmark Missions of the Israeli Intelligence Agency, a compilation of clandestine operations performed by the controversial intelligence organization of the State of Israel. It will be released in print and e-book editions in 2015 (McFarland & Co.).

Previous books revisit an array of notable gay men and women whose deeds influenced politics and the arts in the course of the twentieth century. Among these figures are the American composer Aaron Copland, South African civil rights activist Simon Nkoli, and Swedish Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dag Hammarskjöld.

Book and journal topics also encompass sexual orientation and sexual health, as well as research findings in the fields of neuropsychology and clinical psychology.
