Later techniques by T.J. Crawford (Select Secrets) and Dai Vernon (Greater Magic) kept the concept alive but the widespread popularity of the technique is attributable to David Roth. The term "Retention Vanish" is technically incorrect. It is action occurring during the Pass of the coin from one hand to the other which creates the "Retention." A vanish is one possible result of a Retention Pass but not the only one. |
