The new Nikon Coolpix B500 camera was released from the Nikon Corporation in February of 2016 along with the Coolpix B700 and A900 cameras. It has been updated with new features such a sixteen megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, hybrid VR designed to lessen the effects of camera shake, a new optical zoom lens that has the ability to zoom X 40 - X 80 in order to capture an object. It is powered by double A batteries and has the ability to record movies in full HD with pixels up to 1080. Nikon Snapbridge is featured on the Coolpix B500 which enables users to connect to wireless internet. In addition, Face detection, LIVE view shooting, ISO sensitivity, Optical image stabilization and continuous shooting are also upgraded features found on the Coolpix B500 camera. The camera boasts a 6.9 metre flash as well as NFC connectivity and built- in sensor.
