I have spent my almost 13-year professional career as a Software Developer/Systems Analyst under the Information Technology group of several industries. This includes companies here in Singapore, where I’m now currently residing with my wife Cherry, and also in the Philippines, where I was born and raised. When my wife and I are not traveling, I would spend most of my free time watching movies and TV, playing console games or reading books. As a huge fan of horror, suspense and sci-fi stories, I consider best-selling author Stephen King as my biggest influence. And being a huge fan of the American TV show Lost, my recent works have also been inspired by Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, writers and executive producers of that show.
Though working as an IT professional, I have always had that deep sense of passion when it comes to writing, be it poems, essays or short stories. And when my wife received information about sites that offer self-publishing, it renewed that “writing flame” inside of me, triggering me to refurbish three of my surviving works and self-publish them. That compilation was what I first self-published and was something which I hoped to share with a lot more people… along with the new short stories and the novella I recently finished writing.
