Pickidilly O. is a curious porcupine who has fun with friends while learning important lessons about life and responsibility. Through a series of short stories which mirror the twelve steps of AA, Pickidilly comes to understand himself and the world in which he lives. These light-hearted stories are perfect for helping children learn concepts of healthy living, or as a complement to any substance abuse recovery program. Author Christopher Harnden graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Master's Degree in Counseling and works as a Family Therapist at a youth residential treatment center in Laramie, Wyoming. Working with adolescents and their families, he recognized a need for children to understand specific life lessons, that if not understood at an early age, lead many to struggle with addiction throughout adulthood.
