Robert Leslie Fisher

Education: Stuyvesant HS--a special school for science oriented students in NYC. B.A. cum laude City College of New York; M. Phil. (ABD) Columbia University in the City of New York.

Work history: retired (2003) NYS government official. Did mandated reports for the New York State Legislature on behalf of NYS Dept. of Correctional Services (now the Dept. of Corrections and Community Supervision); planning studies, proposals for action grants, supervised outside researchers for both that department and the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services. currently a director and management consultant for a nonprofit management consulting company in the Capital District of New York State.

Author: The Research Productivity of Scientists; Making Science Fair; Crippled at the Starting Gate; and Invisible Student Scientists. With Joel L. Fisher have also contributed two chapters on medical diagnosis to the forthcoming Encyclopedia of Business Analytics and Optimization ed. by John Wang. Author of a mystery novel Vanilla Republic. At work on a second mystery novel, a textbook on social research methods (with J. L. Fisher) and a study of law school students.
