Its so easy to do yet so deceptive. Great job, Cameron." - Bob Tucker

"Love it! It totally lives up to the description on your site." - Tim Eden

Cameron Francis brings you an amazing card at number effect that plays huge and is extremely practical.

Effect:

The magician proposes an experiment in fate as he introduces two decks of cards; one red and one blue. The blue deck is placed in front of a spectator and the magician never touches it again. The red deck is removed from its case. The magician shows that boldly written on the back of each card is a different number. A second spectator then names ANY card (Really!). We'll say it's the Two of Diamonds. This card is removed from the deck. Another card is randomly selected. Let's say the number on the back of this card is 29.

The spectator now uncases the blue deck. He counts down 29 cards... The 29th card is the Two of Diamonds!

We've got to be up front here, Convergence is not a "Holy Grail ACAAN". It is, however, an incredibly strong and practical effect which plays huge for lay people.

And check out these amazing conditions:

NO gimmicks or duplicates. Both decks and card cases may be completely examined. There is nothing to find!

NO crib sheets or complex charts

NO extra props. Just two decks and that's it!

NO complicated calculations

NO memorization

NO sleight of hand

NO estimation

The cards from the blue deck are dealt FACE UP

Instant reset

1st edition 2010; 12 pages.

Silent Running

This is a pre-publication offer. You will be able to download the PDF on March 30th!

POSSIBLY THE MOST AMAZING "THINK OF A CARD" METHOD IN YEARS!
You'll use this for the rest of your life. No props, just what appears to be pure mind-reading!
A stunningly produced ebook with 3 full routines and amazing bonus contributions!

So, what is Silent Running?

Briefly, it's a "Think Of A Card" concept that requires no props at all. You don't even need a deck of cards. A spectator is asked to merely THINK of a number from 1-10 and to NOT TELL YOU. Once she has done this, she is asked to think of a suit and again to NOT TELL YOU. Then, ENTIRELY IN HER MIND she adds the suit to the number to create a visual image of a playing card. Again, SHE SAYS NOTHING! Once she has confirmed that she is thinking of a card that NO ONE CAN KNOW, you then proceed to reveal the card in any number of ways.

"Silent Running describes a very clever principle that enables the performer to almost instantly ascertain the identity of a card merely thought of. The Card Stabbing routine made possible by the principle is the most powerful I have ever seen. I highly recommend Silent Running to serious students of the art as well as to professional workers." - Bob Cassidy (USA)

"F*#%ing Brilliant!" - Nathan Kranzo (USA)

"The Silent Running approach takes things into the realms of real mind reading. I love the newspaper card stab as it has the perfect combination of drama and impossibilty. Great stuff." - Peter Duffie (Scotland)

Three Routines are included:

DIRECT MIND READ
You ask the spectator to concentrate. You then reveal her thought-of card with 100% accuracy. It's that simple. Once you know the method you'll be able to do this at any time. In fact, you'll be doing this for the rest of your life. It is that strong and so simple!

THE DISSOLVING CARD
You discuss cold war exepriments in which psychics were tested to see if they could make enemy maps become blank and useless. The spectator is handed a deck of cards BEFORE YOU BEGIN. She is NOW asked to think of a card WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING. When she has confirmed that she has a card in her mind, you ask her to imagine it "fading way" slowly. When she confirms that her mental image is gone, she is asked to take the deck and to remove her thought-of card. She attempts to do this, and counts the cards. However, there are ONLY 51 cards and her though-of card IS NOT THERE! The amazing thing about this is that she NEVER REVEALS THE IDENTITY OF HER CARD AT ANY TIME!

SPIRITED CARD STAB
This is Ben's favourite handling and what he is using to close his professional shows. A deck is shuffled face up and face down by a spectator, spread upon the table and covered with a sheet of newspaper. A knife is introduced and the spectator is asked to THINK OF A CARD. Once she has done this, she is asked to imagine the spirit of the card flowing down her arms, through her wrists, into her hands and finally into the knife. AT NO TIME DOES SHE REVEAL HER THOUGHT OF CARD. The performer now takes the knife and lunges it through the newspaper. It stands proud for all to see. Now, for the FIRST TIME, the spectator announces her thought-of card to the audience. The knife is ripped from the newspaper and is seen to be IMPALING THE VERY SAME CARD. There are no switches, the thought-of card is genuinely stabbed, each time.

PLEASE NOTE:

Nothing is EVER written down -- this is strictly a verbal procedure

There is NO dual reality. The spectator and audience of ANY SIZE experience the same effect

There are NO GIMMICKS used at all, no nail writers, electronics -- NOTHING

No muscle-reading is used. The effect is EASILY learned

Perform for a single spectator or a thousand

TO BE PUBLISHED MARCH 30, 2010, this incredible concept will be presented as a beautifully produced ebook of at least 52 pages. (It may be more because peer reviewers are pretty darned excited and contributing ideas and routines. (Seriously, editor Steve Shufton telephoned to apologise for his delay in finishing the editing because he was so gob-smacked by the idea and was having so much fun performing it). There will be a bonus section which means the ebook could grow to 70 or so pages.

Final Countdown

A card is selected and outjogged from a deck which is then put on the table. Now, you bring out a packet of five prediction cards that you show to have all red backs and fronts (all different), saying one of them must be the selection.

You explain that the cards will help you, not to find the right one, but to eliminate the four wrong ones!

After some magical gesture:

One card gets a cross drawn onto its face.

The back of a second card turns blue.

A third card reverses itself.

A message appears on the back of a fourth card saying: "NOT THIS ONE!".

You're left with one card, let's say the King of Diamonds. The selection is revealed for the first time; it is the King of Diamonds!

"You have got a really good trick here. The gradual elimination - with each having a different surprise to it - is first rate." - Peter Duffie

"Very cool effect!

Baroque Cards

27 card tricks for stand-up, close-up and walk-around. All of these effects were created while listening to baroque music. Aldo collected twenty-seven tricks and routines mostly unpublished before. Some of them appeared in magazines around the world, some in a couple of lecture notes but most never met ink before writing them down for this tome.

1st edition 2008; 26 pages.

Controlled Miracles

The magic in Controlled Miracles is a composite of both skill and subtlety. Subtlety has been invaded to the maximum; skill has been kept at its minimum point. The majority of the effects are with cards.

A Set-Up With Aldo

I am sure that we would all agree that it is the EFFECT THAT IS ALL IMPORTANT and that some of the most astounding effects in card magic can be obtained by setting up the cards in a certain order before the performance commences.

Here are five routines of Aldo which depend on set-ups.

CRAZY POKER: The wildest Poker demonstration ever.

KNOCK-OUT SPELL: Spelling procedures reveal incredible coincidences.

ROYAL CUTS: The four Kings and the four Aces are produced in a surprising manner.

JUNGLE JAM: A spectator cuts off a portion of a deck. The next two cards are dealt face up and their values are used to reach two more cards. At the end of all these procedures the four Aces are produced!

DARK DRIVERS: A series of bewildering coincidences!

1st edition 2007; 14 pages

Hartman, Marty Kane, Ryan Matney, Max Maven, Joe Riding, Mike Rogers, John T.

Visual Card Rise

Visual Card Rise was inspired by Martin Lewis's effect called Cardiographics. Like many magicians Ron wanted to find a close up version of this amazing effect. After some searching Ron couldn't find anything like it that had the visual strength of the original effect. He wanted the animation to look as real and magical as the original. VCR is the final result.

EFFECT
A card rises out of a picture of a card drawn on the back of a playing card. Only the black marker ink moves. No part of the printed back design moves as the animation takes place!

Visual Card Rise was released for purchase with pre-made gimmicks. The problem was that the gimmick is hand made and the supplier just couldn't keep up with the demands. So now it's available as PDF instructions so you can make the gimmick yourself.

Everything is explained step by step with photos and verbally. And you get a neat bonus effect the 'Palm Rise', where a card rises out of a deck drawn on your hand.

IMPORTANT
Although this gimmick isn't all that hard to make. It will be a little time consuming and it might require a little trial and error on your part. Mostly a matter of adjustment of the gimmick. I'd imagine you'll be able to have your first one made in a few hours after you find the required material. The ebook contains many sources in which you can find all you need to make it. Ron spent months searching for as many sources for the required material so everyone should be able to find what you need to make it. If all else fails Ron even includes a link to the site he purchased the original material from.

1st edition 2007; 20 pages.

Squeeze

Squeeze is a wonderful effect created by Tommy Wonder. A regular deck of cards is 'squeezed' into a miniture case. It is an incredibly visual effect and was published in the first volume of the Books Of Wonder on page 149.

The biggest problem with this effect is to prepare and build the props. In order to remove the time consuming design work Troels Holm has created the necessary drawings. These sheets make it easy for you to produce all the special items needed for this trick. However, keep in mind that even with these PDFs there is still a significant amount of work left to build all props and prepare for a performance.

Please note that you need the desciption from the book to be able to learn and perform the trick properly. This product will only supply a print ready PDF but no instructions on how to do the trick and no instructions for some additional items you will need.

This product is released with the permission of the Tommy Wonder Estate. We would like to thank Frank Bemelman and Dick Koornwinder for making this possible.

Collectors Card Case

This is Andrew's handling of Roy Walton’s “The Collectors” plot. If you are familiar with his original plot, here, the magic moment takes place in the card case and it has served Andrew well over the years. He developed this handling while he was playing a number of “The Collectors” effects during the afternoon in the year of 2006.

Effect: The performer places three Kings in the card case. The performer then proceeds to have two spectators to freely choose two cards from the deck. The two selections are signed and lost in the deck. The performer waves his hand over the card case and magically, one of the Kings appears face up on top of the deck. Another gesture, the King disappears and the performer claims that he sends the King back into the card case. The deck is spread and the signed selections have vanished in the deck.

The spectators may inspect the deck that their signed cards have indeed vanished. The card case is opened and the content is removed, two face-down cards are trapped in between the face-up Kings.
The performer concludes the routine by revealing the face-down cards which happen to be spectators’ signed cards. Best of all, the signed cards can be given out as souvenirs. You end clean.

1st edition 2010; 6 pages

The presentation for that effect was truly a wonderful idea! You took what would be just another card trick and made it a real joy to present." - Shannon Clark

Four cards are freely selected which represent the evil rings. Performer claims that among the four cards, only one card will represent the genuine ring and the performer attempts to mix the cards randomly in order to find out which card represents the ring, let's suppose the Three of Spades.

Some gestures, all the four cards magically transformed into the death knight (Kings).
