Sally Fernandez
Nothing in my early career suggested that writing fiction would become my forte. My background encompassed project management, business planning, and technology, with additional experience in technical and business writing. In the course of my career, I acquired knowledge from experience in banking, computer technology, and business consulting, while living in New York City, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. My books of fiction incorporate this knowledge in the narratives.
The controversies arising out of the 2008 presidential election cycle raised a number of questions. The overwhelming political spin by the media compelled me to explore the frightening possibilities. As a devoted political junkie, I took to the keyboard, armed with the current events. Eighty-six thousand words later, I had written a novel, Brotherhood Beyond the Yard, and discovered my true calling. My reviewers believe I had succeeded in expertly weaving seemingly disparate events into a cohesive narrative, ending with a shattering climax. I used the same techniques and style in the sequel, Noble's Quest.
After four years of diligent and devoted writing, I am now fortunate to be under contract with my publisher, David Dunham. My first novel, Brotherhood Beyond the Yard, self-published in 2011 under my pen name Jordan Ames, was republished in March 2013 under my true name. Meanwhile, I am working on the third book, The Ultimate Revenge, to complete "The Simon Trilogy".
In 2011, I established SallyForth Publishing to promote my works and related activities. In 2012, I partnered with Dunham Books. As world travelers, my husband, also my Editor-in-Residence, and I split our time between the USA and Italy.
