Sarah Sarai
Sarah Sarai was born in a former speakeasy on Long Island, New York, grew up in Los Angeles, and now lives in NYC. Her first book of poetry, The Future Is Happy, was a "Pick of the Week" by Small Press Distribution. Her chapbook I Feel Good is a pdf download from Beard of Bees Press. Her poems are anthologized in Gathered: Contemporary Quaker Poets (Sundress); Say It Loud: Poems About James Brown (Whirlwind); and many others. She's published twenty short stories in literary reviews, as well as many poems. Her book reviews can be found in The Rumpus, Lambda Literary, and elsewhere.
