Thomas D. Darby is a distinguished professor emeritus at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, after completing a 35-year career in medical education. He grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, went to The Citadel, and earned a master's and doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina.
