She is a News Anchor and Reporter for Sajak Productions WNAV Radio 1430 AM. Window Prints, enduring life at the hands of an abusive father. In Her Words - The Sorrow behind Grandma's Smile, Grandma had always told Katie since she was a very young girl, that she was writing a book. Since Katie believed her to be the best cook in the world, she assumed it was a cookbook. But when Grandma's house was remodeled, after she passed, hundreds of written pages were found hidden in the walls. Grandma had been writing - about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband.

Through the Barracks Window has been her 22 year labor of love. What happened to her in this story is all truth, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent, and because the law says she has to protect the guilty too. Her reasons behind writing her story in the third person is due to her continued struggles with P.T.S.D. that is the result of her medical tramas while battling her cancer. Her hopes are to inspire people, with her words and her passion for music, to help them find their inner voice and strength that every soul possesses.

Since her husbands diagnosis of P.T.S.D. due to his time in the Gulf War during Desert Shield/Storm, she has started a new mission to help Gulf War Veterans - One book at a time.
