Ten Mysteries by Chris Wardle

Ten routines, half close up, half stand up and like most of Chris's material it is easy to do and suitable for beginners.

The effects here share a common thread, they each have a little mental twist (there are a number of predictions for instance).

CLOSE UP EFFECTS

  • Smarty Pants
  • Paranormal Piles
  • The Laserdisc Prediction
  • The Perfect Match
  • E. S. Peasy
EFFECTS FOR THE LARGER AUDIENCE
  • The Slick Silks
  • Great Mind Think Alike
  • The Giant Pencil Prediction
  • Odd One Out
  • What’s Your Poison?

From the introduction:

Anyone who has come across my type of material before will know my watchword is "simple," both in effect and presentation. There are no dodgy looking shuffles or gestures, so once you understand the effect all you really need to concentrate on is your presentation.

1st edition 2000, 26 pages.
word count: 10506 which is equivalent to 42 standard pages of text

This is exactly the kind of Mentalism I like. Fun to perform, simple, practical and direct. It is also the kind of booklets that "open doors" as the effects use simple and old principles you can apply to your own presentation and style. Even though some effects are described for stage or parlour, they can be modified for close up. Highly recommended! Gerard
