As a young boy David McCue witnessed the bombing of the north of England in 1940. He attended grammar school and later worked as a soldier in the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, Eritrea and Egypt. Eventually he returned to Africa as a police officer, serving in the Northern Rhodesia Police Force. His specialism in sudden, suspicious and unnatural deaths earned him the nickname "the bodies man”.
The Bodies Man explores a number of interesting and sometimes upsetting cases that he encountered during his career and is set against the backdrop of a turbulent Northern Rhodesia on its way to becoming self-governing Zambia.
