Valerie Peterson
Valerie Peterson is a writer and filmmaker. Her books include the humor/cocktail recipe books Peterson's Happy Hour and Peterson's Holiday Helper ("Entertainingly irreverent" - Associated Press); and the cookie baking and decorating books Cookie Craft Christmas and Cookie Craft ("Must have" - The Washington Post). Her writing has appeared in publications ranging from The New York Times to Brides Magazine to Pastry Art & Design.
Valerie's narrative, comedic short film, The Maid of Honor, was an Official Selection of the Sedona International Film Festival; her feature screenplay, a time-travel dramedy about Jane Austen's love life, was recognized by Cinequest, The Austin Film Festival, More Magazine and The Big Apple Film Festival.
A native of Yonkers, NY, Valerie is a graduate of Fordham University in the Bronx. She lives in Manhattan.
