Dr. Kimberly Martin received her M.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development and her Ph.
D. in Community Psychology from National Louis University. Dr. Martin's research focuses on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and the effect on families and communities. She is passionate about facilitating Community Psychology to become critical at its care and thus ground her work in theories of social power. Her mission is to provide a blue print that outlines the need for prevention and empowerment as it relates to IPV; She assist community organizations and individuals through her consulting firm Advance Consulting Ventures, LLC (ACV-LLC.com) with needs assessment, program development and grant proposal writing to assist with educating minorities. Dr. Martin is also an adjunct professor at National-Louis University and has taught Psychology courses at Chicago State University. The courses she teaches are introduction to Psychology, History and Systems of Psychology and Social Psychology.
