Norm Osborn

(Chicago, Illinois: 1928 - 20th September 2001)

Learned in 1939 from uncle who taught him a few tricks. Ran (with Gene Thomas) a small magic manufacturing firm ("O'Lantern Magic"), making glass props for Berland. Part-time pro close-up and platform work 1976 to 1988 when went full-time. Specializes in card magic. Later (1989) ran a small mail-order book business ("Magic Book House") in Park City, Illinois. Invented the Double Count, a false count with cards.

Wrote Unlimited (1953, 30pp; 2nd ed revised with Ed Marlo, 1983, 45pp). Tricks in Linking Ring, Hade-E-Gram, Ireland's Year Book, and Ibidem.
