Derek Heron
Derek Heron has been performing magic in one form or another for 30 years. He started out as a Children’s entertainer while still at school. He was awarded the title of Scotland’s Young Magician of the Year at just 17yrs old.
A few years later he was employed by Haven Leisure and was involved in the development and structuring of children’s entertainment, The Tiger Club.
After 18 years as a chidren’s entertainer Derek decided to move to close up magic. Derek performed at weddings, product launches and corporate hospitality events. In 2005 Derek’s focus started to shift again with the public’s increasing interest in mentalism and mind reading.
Derek now works primarily for the corporate sector as an entertainer and keynote speaker. In 2011 Derek was hired by HBoS to create new magic effects and coach actors for a new TV commercial, ‘Magic’. Over the years Derek has performed for industry giants such as Standard and Poors, CocaCola, British Petrolium and W L Gore.
