(Britain: 1910 - 23rd February 1986)

Railwayman. Amateur sleight-of-hand magician and card expert. Founding editor of Pabular in 1974. His daughter, Annabelle, won the Craig Trophy in 1969. His life work was recorded by Peter Duffie in The Magic of Fred Robinson.

This movie was taken by Ake Hallberg from Sweden. Location is Hyde Park in London during the 1980s. The 8mm film was sent via Ulf Morling to Martin Breese who released it on DVD. You will see two performances of Fred's fantastic Ambitious Card routine together with numerous sleights and color changes. You will also see his incredible Vanish of Coin in tie.

Pabular was first published in 1974 by Nick Bolton and ran for just over eight exciting volumes. It is probably the finest ever British close-up magazine to be published. It was mainly edited by the well-respected Fred Robinson (later by Walt Lees and Stephen Tucker) and the art editor throughout was Eric Mason.
