The effect: Imagine this ....
Two large blocks are rolled on stage. Two people from the audience get some cans of spray-paint and paint their names on these blocks. The blocks are placed in the center of the stage. A large folding screen is roiled on, shown on ail sides and placed in a square around the two blocks. Before the front-screen is folded in place two assistants walk around the screens with a flashlight. You can see the light of the flashlight through the fabric. The front-screen is
folded in place. The volunteers from the audience may walk round the square. There is nothing to see. And still when you roll the screens away or rip the cloth of the screens there seems to be a big motorcycle on top of the two blocks.
You could perform this with everything that you can get onstage and can be placed on the two blocks. A (water)scooter, a helicopter, a boat, a car. The stage does not have to be dark, it can be completely lit. You do not need a special background, and this illusion does not use blackart. The process of the moving screens is very natural.
