Improved Devil's Newspaper by Devin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant

With this novel production, you can pick up a newspaper lying flat on a table and produce a large load of solid items, even a dove, without body loads.

Many club performers would like to do a large production, but are reluctant to carry the large apparatus usually necessary for such a production. The Devil’s Newspaper is the answer to this problem. Although this item packs flat in your case, it none the less, holds a large load.

This is real appealing magic as a double-sheet of newspaper is seen flat on your table. It is picked up and shown in a slow and deliberate manner. Yet, when folded in half you reach inside the folded newspaper and remove a large load of silks and solid objects such as balls and cans of cola; and I mean a good size load.

For Easter shows you can actually pour out a bowl of Easter eggs from the previously flat newspaper. At the finish, you fold the newspaper up flat and replace it on the table. There are positively no body, chair or table loads or hidden pockets in the paper. It is entirely self-contained and all in the newspaper. There is not one false move used. The cleanest cut item you could wish for.

The Devil’s Newspaper can also be used for a vanish, as well as a production. It can be used in conjunction with any trick to make transportations.

This is Devin Knight's improved version of an old U. F. Grant idea. You get full directions on how to make this up a few dollars and have a banner effect that most audiences haven't seen today. Comes with full photographic directions and complete handling. Easy to do and requires no skill.

Most magicians know the hanging load method to produce a dove from a really empty shoebox. The trick is very deceptive. This shows how to make it using very common items. I bet 95% of everyone has the 2 items not mentioned. The shoebox idea I mentioned could be a vanish. Reproduce a duplicate item from paper. I do not think the paper should be used as a vanish. It is too flimsy. Drawing attention to it and having to eventually get rid of it. I could put it in the shoebox and put the lid on after using both. Vanish coke can in box. Remove lid. Show both sides. Reproduce from paper. Put paper in box. Can is empty because of weight. Must switch can. Highly recommended.
