Kirk Charles
(Norman, Oklahoma: 23rd November 1947 - )
Introduced to and learned magic in 1960 when his father took him to a Miami magic shop. Pro close-up and comedy magic since 1976, initially as "The Wiz" 1976-77, thence under own name. Also writes and produces several one-man theater pieces involving bizarre magick. Since 1980 has lived in Seattle where he does restaurant magic.
Wrote Improv Magic (1977); Tricked; Tips on Table Hopping (1981); Manual of Restaurant Magic (1987), which Lorraine (among others) rates "best" on the subject; and Standing Up Surrounded (1990, 94pp). Articles in Linking Ring, Invocation, and Magic Menu. Audio (1990).
