Peter Kane's Wild Card PlusLewis GansonThe original eye-popping effect plus great new routines by William G. Stickland and Bob Gill. A version of this stunning effect first appeared in print in Hugard's Monthly Magic Magazine dated April 1962. The effect and method of the 'Wild Card' originated by Peter Kane, and described on his behalf by Gus Southall, has become a classic. Top flight magicians all over the world acclaimed the effect. However, many magicians "fought shy" of it feeling that it was difficult to do, or, sometimes having difficulty in obtaining sets of cards which had really strong contrasts to emphasize the astonishing change. Reelistic MagicLewis GansonA collection of tricks, stunts and bits of business using a reel. A reel is a very powerful stage and parlor tool. (In its miniature versions it can even be used in close-up environments.) It is small enough that it can be easily palmed, but powerful enough to pull silks, cords and other items in a fraction of a second. It is like an invisible hand that the performer can use at his command. Includes care, repair and maintenance of reels.

Ron MacMillan's Symphony of the SpheresLewis GansonAt the Annual Convention of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (British Ring) at Scarborough in 1957, an unknown magician walked away with the First Prize - The British Ring Shield. The manipulative act which caused so much enthusiastic comment featured Billiard Balls, and even well posted magicians in the audience were at a loss to know from where several of the balls were produced. Here was something new in manipulative magic, and there was much speculation as to the means whereby balls could be "stolen" so cleanly, without a hint being given of their original secret location, or... | ★★★★★ $9 to wish list

The effects taught are suitable from stage and parlor to intimate settings of close-up magic. This volume has a large section on billiard ball manipulation. Barrows Mussey calls it 'the best thing in print on the subject'. And Al Koran's Blindfold Card Act is a beauty on its own. Paul Fleming wrote: This book is a sequel to Mr. Ganson's Routined Manipulation (examined in our Review No. 153), and, like its predecessor, covers a wider range of conjuring than one might expect to find... | ★★★★★ $7 to wish list
Rovi Reveals Teach-InLewis Ganson & RoviAl Koran convinced Rovi that it was the easy-to-follow plot with a strong magical impact for which there appeared to be no explanation, that had the greatest impression on audiences. Rovi has followed that dictum with great success, devising routines of his own, all of which are styled to entertain. Those readers who expect to have to learn difficult sleights or memorize long sequences of moves, can breathe a sigh of relief. Rovi's magic is not like that, it is based on simplicity and subtlety. These are all card effects except one, "Watched Coins" a marvelous coin routine. This was part of the... | ★★★★★ $9.50 to wish list

Symphony of the RingsLewis Ganson & Dai VernonLewis Ganson expertly and with care to minute details explains the famous six ring routine devised by Dai Vernon. Vernon first performed the entire routine in front of Ganson's cine camera. By studying the film in slow motion, they were able to determine the most suitable photographs to take with a still camera to illustrate the text. Many considered the best and most beautiful routine for the Chinese Linking Rings. You can see Vernon perform this routine in Dai Vernon in Britain 1958. 1st edition 1958, PDF 31 pages.

The Dai Vernon Book of MagicLewis Ganson & Dai VernonI was lucky that I stumbled across this book very early on in my magic development. It had a huge impact on how I approached magic and how I think today about magic. The introductory chapter "The Vernon Touch" should be mandatory reading for every magician. I would go so far as to recommend re-reading it every year. Martin Breese wrote: "One of the most important books of magic ever written." Max Holden said: "I consider Vernon the greatest man with a pack of cards of the present day." Many consider Dai Vernon, the professor, as one who had probably the biggest impact on magic in recent times. ... | ★★★★★ $19.90 to wish list

One loop in the eight catches your finger the other does not. You have to find the one that catches your finger. Only problem is that you will never find it if the operator so decides. This game is sometimes called Loopy Loop, Figure Eight, the Chain Swindle, or Pricking the Garter. You will find in this ebook... | ★★★★★ $9.50 to wish list
