Gregg Webb
Best of Feen-X by Gregg Webb

The title of this ebook is misleading. It is not a compilation of the best effects from Feen-X magazine, but rather a completely new 24 issue magazine Gregg Webb created from 2010 to 2012. Better think of it as a continuation of Feen-X. The name stems from the fact that Gregg does revisit some of the best plots and ideas from Feen-X, but not to repeat them, but to update and improve on them. And of course, there are also completely new ideas.

It is hard to categorize this ebook. Gregg's ideas span a big arch from close-up to stage, from cards, coins and other daily items, to mental magic, gaffs, gimmicks and...

Jean Nicolas Ponsin & Sam Sharpe
Ponsin on Conjuring by Jean Nicolas Ponsin & Sam Sharpe

In 1853 the French La Nouvelle Magie Blanche Dévoilée by Jean Nicolas Ponsin was published. It was the first book to explain exactly how the leading magicians of the day in France performed their most prized effects. Sam Sharpe translated it to English and Wilf Huggins added a couple of clarifying illustrations.

This ebook is filled with intriguing effects with cards, coins and an entire section on the Cups and Balls. Surprisingly you will find here the idea of using metal balls, the same idea with which Paul Gertner created a sensation. You can find everything from mental miracles, to impromptu effects,...

David Devlin
Theoretical Reality by David Devlin

This is a very in depth work on The Gozinta Boxes. This is not just a little eBook that teaches a single effect. It is a book on theories, philosophies, and thoughts on the effect; however, the thoughts on the effect itself that David discusses can be applied to all magic. This eBook really lets you in on the mind of David Devlin, how he thinks, how he puts routines together, and his feelings about magic as an art and the performance of magic. So, even if you do not use the illusion that is discussed you will learn ways of creating and improving routines of your own. The effect of the Gozinta...

Are you afraid of being caught when using a stacked deck of cards? Then you must know George Blake's system! No more fear of spreading the deck face up, if you know it.

From the introduction:

You know seven-eighths of it, if you use or know of either of these set-ups. Learn the other Eighth and be able to fearlessly spread a set-up DECK FACE UP!

I first conceived this idea way back in 1933, when I passed the secret on to a corresponding friend in Sheffield and he wrote back almost in ecstasy about it. As I had...

Raphaël Czaja
Read, Spell and Kill by Raphaël Czaja

Basically, two thought-of cards selected from a thoroughly shuffled deck are revealed by the magician. The first one is found by reading in the spectator's mind. The card at the last letter is turned over: It is the second thought-of card!

Here is the performance in detail: The deck is shuffled by the magician and a spectator. A second spectator does the last shuffle and the magician turns his back to them. Spectator 1 is asked to remove a small packet from the...
